BJP Leader RP Singh Criticizes Kharge’s Remarks On Maha Kumbh And Sanatan Practices

New Delhi [India]: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader RP Singh has responded strongly to Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge’s recent comments on Maha Kumbh, accusing him and the Congress of repeatedly mocking Sanatan practices.

“Constantly ridiculing Sanatan and its rituals has become a habit of Congress and Kharge Sahab,” Singh remarked, addressing Kharge’s earlier remarks on BJP leaders’ participation in the Maha Kumbh.

Singh challenged Kharge to display similar criticism towards other religions, particularly Islam. “I want him to use this kind of sarcasm about any other religion, like Islam, and question if going to Hajj brings employment,” he stated.

He also emphasized the economic benefits of the Maha Kumbh, explaining that the event provides significant employment opportunities. “For his [Kharge’s] information, 40 crore people will take a dip in the Maha Kumbh. Will that not create employment? From transport to food and other arrangements, the event creates jobs across sectors,” Singh pointed out.

The BJP leader accused Congress of consistently opposing Sanatan traditions. “What Kharge Sahab said today, and what Congress says regularly, reflects their opposition to Sanatan practices,” Singh added.

Earlier, Kharge took a swipe at BJP leaders participating in the Maha Kumbh, questioning whether taking a dip in the Ganga would alleviate poverty when “children are dying of hunger.” Speaking during the Congress’s “Jai Bapu, Jai Bhim, Jai Samvidhan” rally in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh, Kharge alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi claims to salute the Constitution while working against its principles.

The rally, held at Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar’s birthplace, featured prominent Congress leaders, including Rahul Gandhi, as part of the party’s outreach efforts.
