The latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19 took a comedic turn as filmmaker Rohit Shetty, stepping in as host in place of Salman Khan, welcomed stand-up artist Pranit More to roast him on national television. Known for poking fun at Bollywood stars like Salman Khan and Ajay Devgn, Pranit was given a free pass by Rohit himself to go all out.
In the promo shared by JioHotstar, Pranit kicked off his set with a jab at Rohit’s action-packed persona, saying, “Rohit sir is so talented; he’s perfect as the host of Khatron Ke Khiladi. He jumps off a moving car, but the biggest danger was spending ₹100 crore on Dilwale.” Rohit immediately corrected him with a laugh: “₹150 crore.”
The comedian continued with another punchline: “He respects the police so much that he puts them at the centre of all his films. The police respect him so much in return that when there’s a checkpoint, Rohit sir is the one who checks their vehicles, and the police tell him, ‘Let us go, sir.’” The joke left the entire house—and Rohit himself—in uncontrollable laughter.
Apart from the light-hearted roast, the filmmaker also addressed contestants about their game strategies and introduced entertaining tasks, adding excitement to the weekend episode.
