Fans of high-octane stunts and adrenaline-fueled challenges can breathe a sigh of relief. Famed host and filmmaker Rohit Shetty has officially confirmed that the popular reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi (KKK) is not canceled and will make its return next year.

Shetty, who stepped in to host the Bigg Boss Weekend Ka Vaar episode in the absence of Salman Khan (who is away for his Da-Bangg tour), used the platform to deliver the highly anticipated news directly to the audience.
Answering the Audience’s Call
Speaking from the Bigg Boss stage, Rohit Shetty addressed the widespread concern over the show’s future, as no new season aired this year.
Rohit Shetty: “The audience was upset that we couldn’t bring a season this year, but next year the show is returning.”
The confirmation on the Colors TV platform strongly suggests that the next season of the show will be broadcast on the same channel, keeping the tradition of the stunt-based reality program alive.
The Legacy of Khatron Ke Khiladi
Khatron Ke Khiladi first premiered in 2008 with Akshay Kumar as the host. Rohit Shetty took over the hosting responsibilities in Season 5 (2014) and, except for Season 7 when Arjun Kapoor hosted, has been the face of the show ever since, becoming synonymous with the franchise’s emphasis on action and fear-conquering challenges.
The last season, Khatron Ke Khiladi 14, which carried the tagline “Darr Ki Nayi Kahaaniyaan in Romania,” aired from July to September 2024 and was won by actor Karan Veer Mehra.
Shetty also joked about potentially casting some of the current Bigg Boss contestants in the next season, hinting at an exciting roster for the show’s much-awaited comeback.
