Patna: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter, Rohini Acharya, has once again launched a fierce attack on Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Yadav, accusing him of repeatedly humiliating her despite her life-altering sacrifice of donating a kidney to her father in 2022.
In a sharp post shared on her official X account, accompanied by an audio message, Rohini targeted Sanjay Yadav and his supporters, questioning their moral right to invoke Lalu Prasad Yadav’s name for political gain while lacking genuine empathy.
“Those who want to do something in Lalu’s name should stop showing false sympathy and instead come forward to donate their kidneys to the millions of poor people who are struggling for their lives in hospitals. Donate your kidneys in Lalu’s name,” she wrote.
She also directly challenged her critics, saying, “Those who blame the married daughter who donated her kidney to her father should have the courage to debate with me on an open platform. First, let them donate kidneys to the needy before calling a daughter’s sacrifice ‘dirty’. Let the so-called Haryanvi great men, sycophantic journalists, and abusive devotee trolls come forward.”
Rohini further hit out at her detractors with a sharp rebuke:
“People whose blood dries up at the thought of donating even a bottle of blood are busy giving sermons on kidney donation?”
Background: Internal RJD Rift Widens
Rohini’s fresh remarks come amid intensifying internal strife in the RJD after the party’s heavy defeat in the Bihar Assembly elections. Much of the anger from workers and family members has been directed at Sanjay Yadav, a close aide of Tejashwi Yadav, as well as Rameez Nemat Khan, another long-time advisor.
On November 15, following the electoral setback, Rohini left the Lalu-Rabri residence and travelled to Delhi after making serious allegations against the senior leadership.
She claimed she was threatened with being beaten with slippers at the family home and alleged that Tejashwi Yadav, along with his aides Sanjay Yadav and Rameez Nemat Khan, were behind the humiliation.
Speaking at Patna airport before leaving, she said,
“I have no family here anymore. Ask Sanjay Yadav, Rameez, and Tejashwi Yadav why I am leaving home. They have expelled me.”
Rohini alleged that Tejashwi’s advisors want to act like “Chanakya” but refuse to take responsibility for the party’s dismal election results.
She added that several RJD workers had questioned Sanjay Yadav’s role in the campaign’s failure, and when she raised these concerns, she was threatened with defamation, abuse, and physical assault.
