Robert Vadra Calls ED Summons In Gurugram Land Case ‘Political Vendetta’, Vows To Fight Back

New Delhi [India]: Businessman Robert Vadra has strongly criticized the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) summons in connection with the Gurugram land case, calling it a “political vendetta” aimed at silencing opposition voices.

Speaking to media on Thursday, Vadra accused the central government of misusing investigative agencies to target leaders from non-BJP parties.

“This is a political vendetta. Agencies are being misused. This is wrong. How will there be trust in agencies when they are targeting only opposition figures, especially those considered potential CM candidates? Is everyone in the BJP clean? Why hasn’t any BJP member been summoned?” Vadra questioned.

Vadra, the husband of Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, reaffirmed his resolve to stand firm against what he termed as “injustice” and politically motivated harassment.

“I am someone who becomes stronger under pressure. People are connected with me, and I will speak out against injustice done by this government. No one can silence me,” he asserted.

He further revealed that the questions posed by the ED were a repetition of those already answered during previous inquiries. “These are the same old questions from 2019. There’s nothing new or substantial. I’ve already been given a clean chit in this case by former BJP CM Manohar Lal Khattar—twice,” Vadra said.

The businessman also linked the ED’s actions to his recent public stance against communal violence. “This started right after I posted messages on social media condemning atrocities against minorities. That’s when this pressure began,” he said.

When asked about his political ambitions, Vadra responded affirmatively. “Definitely. If people want it, I will enter politics with the blessings of my family. I will work hard for the Congress. This harassment will continue because we speak up for the people—but that won’t stop us.”

On Wednesday, Vadra arrived at the ED office accompanied by Priyanka Gandhi for his second round of questioning. In a moment captured by cameras, the couple shared a brief hug before Vadra entered the premises. He later reiterated that he would emerge stronger despite the political targeting.
