Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has extended his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat for selecting Rishikesh as one of the 40 major tourist destinations to receive significant investment for world-class tourism development.
Under this initiative, ₹100 crore will be allocated for constructing a state-of-the-art rafting base station in Rishikesh, enhancing water sports infrastructure and providing tourists with a more exciting and convenient experience.
Key Benefits of the Project

Other Developmental Approvals
The Chief Minister has also approved ₹66.12 crore for various infrastructure projects, including roads and bridges across Uttarakhand:
- Kaladhungi, Nainital District: ₹12.45 crore for covering canals and constructing new ones.
- Lohaghat Constituency: ₹3.46 crore for improving the Kalsan Thantha Motorway.
- Vikasnagar, Dehradun District: ₹10.86 crore for upgrading Lambarpur to Langha Motorway to a two-lane road.
- Champawat District: ₹9.58 crore for improving Shaheed Shiromani Chilkoti road and ₹5.98 crore for hotmix upgrades to internal roads in Tanakpur.
These projects reflect the Chief Minister’s commitment to holistic development, enhancing connectivity and infrastructure to support Uttarakhand’s growth as a leading tourist and economic hub.
