Rinku Singh’s Father Dies Due To Stage-4 Liver Cancer, Know It’s Symptoms And Cure

In a heartbreaking development for the Indian cricketing community, Rinku Singh’s father, Khanchand Singh, passed away on the morning of February 27, 2026, at Yatharth Hospital in Greater Noida. He had been battling Stage-4 Liver Cancer for an extended period.

Despite Rinku Singh’s efforts to provide the best medical care—including a recent hospitalization following a decline in health—his father succumbed to the aggressive disease.

Understanding Stage-4 Liver Cancer

As seen in Khanchand Singh’s case, Stage-4 is the most advanced and aggressive form of the disease. Medical experts categorize it into two substages:

  • Stage 4A: The cancer has grown into nearby blood vessels or organs and may have reached lymph nodes, but has not yet traveled to distant parts of the body.
  • Stage 4B: The cancer has metastasized (spread) to distant organs such as the lungs or bones.

Symptoms & Challenges

At this advanced stage, patients often experience:

  • Severe jaundice (yellowing of eyes and skin).
  • Significant weight loss and loss of appetite.
  • Fluid buildup in the abdomen (ascites).
  • Extreme fatigue and persistent abdominal pain.

Medical Note: In Stage-4, the goal of treatment typically shifts from “curative” to “palliative,” focusing on managing pain and improving the quality of life, as the damage to the liver and surrounding systems is often irreversible.

Rinku Singh’s Personal Loss

Rinku Singh, known for his humble beginnings in Aligarh, has often credited his father’s hard work for his success. Khanchand Singh famously continued his job as a LPG cylinder delivery man even after Rinku became an IPL star, embodying a work ethic that the cricketer often cited as his inspiration.

The cricketing world, including his Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) teammates and BCCI officials, have begun pouring in their condolences for the “finisher” and his family.
