Right-Wing Rift: Charlie Kirk Slams Dinesh D’Souza For Debating Nick Fuentes

Dinesh D’Souza, an Indian-American political analyst, published a tense private text discussion he had with fellow conservative Charlie Kirk. In it, Kirk harshly attacked D’Souza for debating far-right speaker Nick Fuentes.

D’Souza released two pictures of the chat on X (previously Twitter) and said he wanted to highlight how Kirk felt about providing Fuentes a platform, especially after Tucker Carlson’s recent, controversial interview with Fuentes on Fox News.

What Dinesh D’Souza and Charlie Kirk Texted Each Other
D’Souza’s screenshots show that Charlie Kirk strongly disagrees with the debate and blames D’Souza for giving Fuentes more power.

Kirk wrote in the first text, “You made a huge mistake by doing this.” You just given him one of the biggest breaks of his career.

In the second exchange, Kirk made his worry worse by saying, “You have no idea how much damage you did by talking to him and complimenting him.” You are making it much bigger. “We’ve been fighting this guy for six years.”

Kirk said, “And you are the first main stream voice to debate and give him a compliment,” to show how angry he was. That makes him bigger and stronger.

D’Souza agreed with Kirk’s caution and said that he was “getting a ton of this” and that Kirk had made “very good points.” He also said that it was “amazing to hear from your experience.”

D’Souza’s Defense and the Comparison to Tucker Carlson
D’Souza said in the article that if Kirk felt so strongly about a discussion, “imagine what Charlie would say about Tucker’s bu-licking interview with Fuentes.”**

In a later piece, D’Souza explained why his interaction with Fuentes was different from Carlson’s:

D’Souza said in an interview that he debated Fuentes because they “strongly disagree” and are “not on the same side.” The purpose, it seems, was to win over his arguments.

D’Souza said that Carlson’s meeting with Fuentes was “friendly, almost devotional,” which made it sound like they were “on the same side” when they talked about their shared views on Israel and Judaism, specifically condemning “Christian Zionists” and American conservatives who support Israel.

The post says that Tyler Robinson shot and killed Charlie Kirk, 31, on September 10 during a campus event in Utah.
