Los Angeles [US], February 2: Three-time Grammy Award winner Ricky Kej, nominated for his fourth Grammy for Break of Dawn, shared a glimpse from the Grammy Nominees Reception in Los Angeles ahead of the highly anticipated event.
The musician, known for his environmental music and thoughtful compositions, posted a series of pictures of himself looking elegant in a traditional maroon sherwani with gold embroidery designed by Bharath Jain of 108 Bespoke. In his caption, Kej expressed his excitement, saying, “At the Grammy Nominees Reception in LA 🙂 Tomorrow is the big day!!”
In an interview with ANI last November, Kej described Break of Dawn as his best work to date. He shared the vision behind the album, emphasizing his long-standing commitment to environmentalism and mental wellness. “The environment has always been on my mind when it comes to my music and my daily life,” he explained. Kej created Break of Dawn by combining ancient Indian raags and music designed to promote mental health and combat the global mental health burden.
Kej’s career saw its first Grammy win in 2015 for Winds of Samsara in the Best New Age category. He went on to win his second Grammy in 2022 for Divine Tides, a collaboration with Stewart Copeland. Kej and Copeland also won a Grammy in 2023 for Divine Tides in the Best Immersive Audio Album category.
The 2025 Grammy Awards will be held at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on Sunday, February 2, 2025.
