Dubai [UAE], December 10: Emirates airline is gearing up for a record-breaking festive season, with a surge in passenger departures from Dubai International Airport this December. The airline is urging travelers to plan their journeys carefully as daily departure numbers are significantly higher than last year.
In 2023, Emirates saw over 75,000 daily departures during the festive season. However, this year, the number has soared to as high as 89,000 passengers on peak days—an almost 20% increase, the airline stated in a press release.
The busiest travel days are expected to be December 12-15 and December 20-22, leading up to Christmas. Another wave of high passenger departures is anticipated from December 27-29, just before New Year’s Eve, with more than 88,000 daily departures.
Emirates has advised passengers to arrive at the airport early and use online check-in services to ensure a seamless travel experience during the bustling festive period.
