Washington DC [US], June 18: Actress Rebel Wilson has revealed details of a terrifying on-set accident while filming her upcoming action-comedy ‘Bride Hard’, according to People magazine.
The 45-year-old actress, who stars as a secret agent in the film, said she enjoyed doing action scenes—until one final stunt went wrong.
“On the very last day, the last night of shooting, we had a terrible accident at 3:00 a.m. where a gun accidentally got whacked across my face in a fight,” Wilson shared. “It wasn’t supposed to happen, and my nose got cut open. I was rushed by ambulance to the hospital.”
She added that a plastic surgeon had to be called in at 6:30 a.m. to repair the injury. “There were a few hours where I was just like, ‘Is my face ever going to be okay?’” Wilson said. “Luckily, they stitched up the whole nose really well.”
The Rebel Rising author later underwent laser treatment to minimize scarring from the injury, which was right in the center of her face. Wilson even joked about the mishap:
“At least I now share something with Tom Cruise and Daniel Craig — getting injured while filming an action movie. That’s a good club to be in.”
About ‘Bride Hard’
Directed by Simon West, Bride Hard follows Wilson’s character Sam, a secret agent who must save her best friend’s extravagant wedding after it’s taken hostage by a team of mercenaries.
The film features a star-studded cast, including Anna Camp, Anna Chlumsky, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Gigi Zumbado, Stephen Dorff, and Justin Hartley.
