Ravindra Jadeja Reaches 600 International Wickets In First ODI Against England

Nagpur (Maharashtra) [India]: Indian all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has achieved a remarkable milestone, becoming the fifth Indian bowler to claim 600 international wickets across all formats during the first ODI against England at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium on Thursday.

The 36-year-old left-arm spinner delivered an impressive spell of 3/26 in nine overs, which included a maiden over. He dismissed Joe Root, Jacob Bethell, and Adil Rashid to complete the historic 600-wicket feat.

Fifth Indian to Join Elite List

Jadeja joins an elite group of Indian bowlers who have crossed the 600-wicket mark, including:

  • Anil Kumble (Leg-spinner)
  • Ravichandran Ashwin (Off-spinner)
  • Harbhajan Singh (Off-spinner)
  • Kapil Dev (Right-arm seamer)

Jadeja’s Batting Contribution

With the bat, Jadeja remained unbeaten on 12 runs off 10 balls, striking two boundaries to support India’s chase.

Winning the toss, England elected to bat first, posting a total of 248 in 47.4 overs. Key contributions included:
