Ravie Dubey Shares Behind-The-Scenes Glimpse With Ranbir Kapoor From Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’

Mumbai (Maharashtra), July 18: Actor Ravie Dubey gave fans a glimpse into the highly anticipated mythological film Ramayana by sharing a behind-the-scenes photograph featuring himself, Ranbir Kapoor, and director Nitesh Tiwari. The photo, posted on Dubey’s Instagram, has quickly gone viral, fueling excitement around the upcoming epic.

Dubey captioned the image, “In the company of legends,” and added a Sanskrit verse in reverence to Lord Ram. The image shows Dubey dressed casually in a white T-shirt, denim jacket, and black trousers, while Kapoor appears in an all-black outfit. Fans also noted Dubey’s clean-shaven look, speculating it to be part of his portrayal as Lakshman.

The upcoming film Ramayana, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Ravie Dubey as Lakshman. Yash takes on the role of Ravana, Sai Pallavi plays Goddess Sita, and Sunny Deol is cast as Lord Hanuman. The cast has been lauded for its depth and star power, aiming to bring the revered epic to life on a grand scale.

Earlier this month, the makers released an introductory teaser for Ramayana, calling it “the immortal story of Rama vs Ravana.” According to the production team, the project has been ten years in the making and will feature extensive visual effects and international-grade storytelling.

The film is being produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with Oscar-winning visual effects company DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. The screenplay is penned by Shridhar Raghavan, while the music will be scored by two Oscar-winning legends — Hans Zimmer and A.R. Rahman.

Director Nitesh Tiwari stated during the teaser launch, “This is more than a film. It is a vision meant to transcend borders while honouring the soul of our culture.”

Ramayana will be released in two parts:

  • Part 1 is scheduled for release on Diwali 2026
  • Part 2 will follow in Diwali 2027

The film aims to set a new benchmark for Indian cinema, both in storytelling and technical execution.
