Ravi Shankar Prasad Leads All-Party Delegation To France To Amplify India’s Zero-Tolerance Message On Terrorism

The all-party parliamentary delegation led by senior BJP leader and former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad arrived in Paris on the evening of May 25, 2025, as part of India’s ongoing global diplomatic mission to reinforce its message of zero tolerance against terrorism.

According to a statement released by the Embassy of India in France, the delegation, which includes former ministers, Members of Parliament, and a former ambassador, will engage with:

  • Members of the French Senate and the National Assembly
  • Leading think tanks and media houses
  • The Indian diaspora in France

The visit, scheduled from May 25–27, is one of several stops across Europe by Indian parliamentary delegations formed after Operation Sindoor—India’s decisive military response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack. That attack, executed by Pakistan-sponsored terrorists, claimed 26 lives. The Indian Armed Forces responded on May 7, targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu & Kashmir, neutralizing over 100 militants affiliated with Jaish-e-Mohammed, Lashkar-e-Taiba, and Hizbul Mujahideen.

The Indian Embassy emphasized that the objective of this visit is to convey India’s unequivocal stance on terrorism to French lawmakers and strategic communities. The delegation’s mission is part of a broader seven-group global initiative formed by the Modi government to:

  • Expose Pakistan’s role in promoting terrorism
  • Build international consensus on the need to combat cross-border terrorism
  • Reinforce India’s global credibility as a victim of terrorism, not its sponsor

In addition to France, similar delegations are visiting Germany, the UK, Italy, the EU, and Denmark, as well as nations in Africa, the Gulf, Southeast Asia, and the Americas, carrying a unified message that transcends India’s domestic political divides.

Speaking ahead of the engagements, Ravi Shankar Prasad is expected to reiterate that India’s fight is not just against the perpetrators, but also against those who harbor, finance, train, and protect terror operatives, stressing that terrorism anywhere is a threat to peace everywhere.
