Raveena Tandon Slams IMF Loan To Pakistan Amid Ceasefire Violations: “Never Again Should Bharat Bleed”

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], May 10: Actor Raveena Tandon has strongly criticized the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for approving a loan to Pakistan amid heightened tensions between India and Pakistan, which have been intensified by Islamabad’s continued support for cross-border terrorism.

Taking to Instagram, Tandon expressed her concerns over the potential misuse of IMF funds by Pakistan. “The #IMF had better keep track of where their money goes. The big powers may have sanctioned this loan to get their earlier loans paid back, or so that more ammunition is bought, or whatever. But now, and never again, should Bharat bleed,” she stated.

Tandon’s remarks came in the backdrop of a fragile ceasefire understanding between the two nations, which was reportedly violated shortly after being agreed upon. She warned of serious consequences if India were to suffer again due to state-sponsored terrorism. “If this is true, then it’s a welcome decision. #ceasefire. But make no mistake, the day India bleeds again due to #statesponsoredterrorism, it will be an act of war, and then there will be hell to pay,” she asserted.

Meanwhile, the Indian government condemned the ceasefire violations by Pakistan. At a special briefing, Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri declared that India took “very serious note” of these breaches and emphasized that the Indian Army was responding appropriately.

“For the last few hours, there have been repeated violations of the understanding arrived at earlier this evening between the Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) of India and Pakistan. This is a breach of the understanding. The armed forces are giving an adequate and appropriate response,” Misri said.

He further urged Pakistan to take immediate and responsible steps to uphold the agreement and prevent further escalation. “The armed forces have been instructed to deal strongly with any repetition of ceasefire violations along the International Border and the Line of Control.”

Earlier in the day, Pakistan’s DGMO had contacted his Indian counterpart, and it was agreed that hostilities would cease across land, air, and sea from 1700 hours IST. Both sides are scheduled to hold further discussions on May 12.
