Actors Rashmika Mandanna and Vijay Deverakonda have restricted their March 4 wedding reception in Hyderabad to strictly invite-only guests following a police advisory citing security concerns.
The couple, who tied the knot on February 26 in Udaipur after years of dating, are set to host a grand reception in Hyderabad. However, due to massive public excitement and nationwide attention around their wedding, authorities advised tighter security measures.
Police Advise Tighter Controls
In an official statement, the couple’s team said the “Virosh” wedding has become one of the most celebrated events in the country, drawing overwhelming love from fans across India. Initially planned as an exclusive gathering for members of the Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada film industries, along with political and administrative leaders, the event’s guest list has now been further restricted.
“Police officials have advised tighter controls to prevent large public gatherings, traffic congestion, and potential safety risks. Ensuring the well-being of guests, the public, and the couple remains the highest priority,” the statement read.
Entry will be permitted only to guests carrying valid invitations. Fans and well-wishers without official invites have been requested not to visit the venue, as access will not be granted under any circumstances.
Couple Requests Cooperation
Rashmika and Vijay shared a heartfelt message for their supporters: “Your safety and happiness means everything to us. We are deeply grateful for your blessings and support, and we request your cooperation in helping us keep this celebration safe and joyful for everyone.”
The couple has also reportedly extended invitations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy.
