Wellness Expert Rashi Chowdhary Shares Menopause Hacks With Samantha Ruth Prabhu

Rashi Chowdhary, a wellness expert, talked about how she dealt with menopause symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, and irregular cycles on a recent podcast with actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu. She also said that these tips helped her get rid of fat that wouldn’t go away.

When Prabhu asked Chowdhary what may be done to help the body during perimenopause, he gave three main answers:

Insulin Resistance: She says to be smart about how many carbs you eat and to focus on meals that are high in protein and low in carbs. She said that avoiding late dinners with high carbs like rice will help balance insulin and melatonin, which can help you sleep better and stop you from getting bloated.

Chowdhary says that adding collagen to the diet is good for skin health because estrogen levels drop after menopause, which slows down collagen formation and affects the skin, hair, and joints. For years, she has added two scoops of collagen to her green drink every day.

Progesterone Support: Progesterone is one of the first hormones to diminish during perimenopause, which can cause problems including adult acne, anxiety, and mood changes. To help progesterone, she suggests eating dinner early, managing stress, obtaining adequate healthy fats, and receiving 1–2 g/kg of protein. She also suggested using progesterone mimickers like Vitex (chasteberry) for a few cycles, but advised consulting a healthcare professional first.

Chowdhary said that these changes to her diet helped her control her symptoms, sleep better, keep her cortisol levels stable, and stop her face from swelling. She stressed that having a balanced diet and lifestyle can make a big impact for women during this time of their lives.
