The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) gave the trailer for Ranveer Singh’s upcoming movie, Dhurandhar, the official stamp of approval on Friday. This has made fans even more excited. Earlier reports had suggested a stricter rating, but the trailer has been given a U/A grade, which means it may be shown to anybody, although parents should watch it with kids under 12.
The CBFC’s website says that the trailer lasts for 2 minutes and 42 seconds. The filmmakers haven’t announced an official release date for the trailer yet, which is keeping fans on the edge of their seats.
Aditya Dhar wrote and directed Dhurandhar, which is said to be a high-octane spy thriller based on real-life secret missions. Reports say that the story is based on the life of Ajit Doval, who used to be the National Security Advisor. The producers have not acknowledged or rejected this rumor.
On July 6, Ranveer Singh’s birthday, the first look at the movie was released. It showed the star in a rough, scary way. The preview gave us a taste of a gritty and brutal spy story with a great cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal in interesting new roles.
Recently, the project made news when more than 100 crew members had to go to the hospital while filming in Leh. At first, people thought it was food poisoning or cost-cutting tactics, but subsequently a source said that the health crisis was caused by a “local contamination issue,” and the team took extra steps to make sure the unit was safe.
Dhurandhar is set to come out in theaters on December 5, 2025. It was made by Jio Studios and B62 Studios.
