Gurugram, Haryana – July 24, 2025: Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda is on the hunt for roles that ignite a “fire” within him, driving his passion for more work. The ‘Jaat’ star recently discussed his upcoming projects, subtly hinting at the diverse films currently in the pipeline.
“I am currently in the stage where I have to choose. And that is what gives me the fire in my belly to do the next,” Hooda told ANI, referring to his upcoming releases.
Hooda’s schedule has been busy lately. Among his highly anticipated projects is ‘Operation Khukri,’ a film based on the real-life events of 2000, when 233 Indian Army soldiers were held hostage by rebel forces in Sierra Leone, West Africa, leading to a high-risk rescue mission. Hooda will portray Major General Pal Punia, who, as Company Commander of the 14th Mechanised Infantry, played a pivotal role in navigating the tense standoff and the successful rescue operation. Earlier this year, Randeep Hooda Films and Rahul Mittra Films secured the exclusive film rights to this compelling story.
The actor is also set to reunite with his ‘Extraction’ director Sam Hargrave for the upcoming action-thriller ‘Matchbox,’ where he’ll star alongside John Cena. Based on the iconic Matchbox car line, the film will follow a group of childhood friends who come together to prevent a global disaster.
