Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India]: As the release of Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh’ draws closer, the buzz around the film is soaring. Actor Rana Daggubati, who recently acquired the Telugu distribution rights of the film, watched a special screening and was left deeply moved.
Taking to Instagram, Rana praised the film, calling it a “powerful, important film” that resonates deeply with the Indian spirit.
“Just watched an incredible historical courtroom drama — Kesari Chapter 2: The Untold Story of Jallianwala Bagh. A powerful, important film that stands tall and stays deep with the Indian in you,” he wrote.
Rana also promised that Suresh Productions will bring the film to Telugu-speaking audiences with the care and scale it deserves.
“This is storytelling that deserves to be seen across languages. We @SureshProductions will do everything we can to bring this cinematic gem to Telugu audiences in the best way in cinemas. A must-watch,” he added.

About ‘Kesari Chapter 2’
Unlike the first film Kesari (2019), which depicted the Battle of Saragarhi between 21 Sikh soldiers and over 10,000 Afghan tribesmen, this sequel shifts focus to another significant yet lesser-known chapter of Indian history — the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
Akshay Kumar returns in a powerful role as C. Sankaran Nair, the fearless lawyer and nationalist who took on the British in the courtroom following the massacre.
The film also stars R. Madhavan and Ananya Panday, adding gravitas and freshness to the cast.
