In the early hours, devotees took a holy dip in the sacred Saryu River, believed to purify the soul before entering the temple for darshan.
The newly constructed Ram Temple was adorned with vibrant floral decorations and shimmering lights, creating a divine ambiance that captivated pilgrims from every corner of the country.
“I am feeling very good after coming here… the arrangements are excellent,” shared one devotee, eyes welling with devotion.
Another devotee from Varanasi said,
“I travelled from Kashi to Ayodhya just to offer prayers at Shri Ram Janmabhoomi on Ram Navami—it’s a moment of spiritual bliss.”
Police personnel were deployed in full force to manage the massive footfall. Additional SP Madhuban Singh confirmed robust security and crowd management measures.
“We’ve ensured proper parking, safety protocols, and a peaceful environment for every devotee,” he stated.

The festive spirit wasn’t limited to Ayodhya alone. In Delhi, iconic temples like Jhandewalan Mandir and Chhatarpur’s Shri Aadya Katyayani Shaktipith were illuminated with lights and buzzing with energy.
“This is my first time offering prayers at Jhandewalan Temple. The peace and devotion here are overwhelming,” said a local devotee.
Across India, Ram Navami was marked with special morning aartis, kanya pujans, and offerings to young girls symbolizing the nine forms of Goddess Durga—an essential ritual of the final day of Chaitra Navratri.
