Ayodhya:
All construction-related work for the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is expected to be completed by April 30, with the total cost of the project estimated at around ₹1,900 crore, Ram Temple Construction Committee chairman Nripendra Mishra said on Saturday.
Speaking to reporters after a two-day meeting of the Ram Temple Construction Committee, Mishra said that Larsen & Toubro (L&T) and Tata Consultancy, which have been executing major components of the project, will formally exit the temple complex by April 30 once all construction activities are wrapped up.
He added that instructions have been issued to ensure that all documentation, billing, and payment-related procedures are also completed by the same date.
“L&T and Tata Consultancy have offered a three-year warranty on all the construction work carried out by them. For routine maintenance and upkeep, a small technical team from both organisations will continue to remain deployed within the temple complex,” Mishra said.
He further stated that after April 30, all agreements currently held with L&T, Tata Consultancy, and the State Construction Corporation will be officially taken over by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, which will be responsible for future management and operations.
₹1,600 Crore Already Spent on Construction
Sharing details of the expenditure, Mishra said that approximately ₹1,600 crore, including Goods and Services Tax (GST), has already been paid towards the project so far, out of the total estimated cost of ₹1,900 crore.
Officials present at the meeting said discussions focused on reviewing construction progress, finalising completion timelines, and ensuring a smooth transition of responsibilities once the execution agencies conclude their work.
The completion of construction marks a significant milestone in the Ram Temple project, which has been one of the most closely watched infrastructure and religious developments in the country.
