Bollywood actor Rakul Preet Singh has strongly reacted to a man, who identified himself as a plastic and cosmetic surgeon, for making unsubstantiated claims that she has undergone plastic surgery to change her appearance.
On Monday, the actor took to Instagram to share a video featuring the alleged medical professional. In the video, the man performed a ‘then and now’ analysis of Rakul’s looks, suggesting she had received Botox, fillers, and a nose job. He also criticized her for not being transparent about cosmetic procedures while promoting fitness, arguing it sets “unrealistic expectations.”
Rakul Issues ‘Fraud Alert’
Rakul Preet Singh issued a sharp warning against the individual, calling the video a “Fraud alert.” She criticized the man for making baseless statements under the guise of medical expertise.
“Fraud alert: it’s scary that people like him are claiming to be doctors and making statements without any factual checks and misleading people,” she wrote.
Emphasizing Fitness and Hard Work
While clarifying that she has no objection to individuals choosing to undergo cosmetic procedures, Rakul stressed that spreading baseless claims in the name of science is unacceptable. She emphasized that physical changes can often be attributed to consistent fitness and discipline.
“Being an actor who understands ancient and modern science, I have no issues if people do surgeries, but there is also another thing called weight loss that comes from hard work. Ever heard of that?” she wrote, concluding with a caution to her followers to “beware of such ‘doctors’.”
