Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 3 : Actress Rakul Preet Singh opened up about her struggles with guilt after indulging in fried or sweet foods. In an Instagram post shared on Friday, Rakul reflected on how this holiday season allowed her to let go of the guilt that often followed indulging in such foods. She admitted to always feeling a sense of stress over getting back on track after enjoying meals, often accompanied by feelings of guilt. However, she expressed happiness for being able to enjoy every meal without those negative feelings this year.
Rakul wrote, “This holiday was all about letting go… I always struggled with letting go and relishing food without feeling guilty, or the constant stress of getting back on track… Basically, a lot of guilt attached to indulgence and constant noise in my head… but I’m so happy that I could let go this year!!” She continued by acknowledging how challenging it can be to live in the moment and truly enjoy food. “It’s a hard task to live in the moment and enjoy the joy of it and I’m sure a lot of you resonate with it,” she added.
She emphasized the importance of self-acceptance, stating, “So here I am telling you… it’s fine… pause, enjoy and get back on track… because how you feel is more important than how you look. No one’s validation is more important than your acceptance of yourself.” Rakul also mentioned the need to get back on track, but without stress or fads, and encouraged others to cherish memories while looking forward to the future.
In the accompanying pictures, Rakul was seen enjoying sweet treats in a Winter Wonderland setting.
