The ongoing feud between superstar Salman Khan and filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap, who directed Dabangg, has escalated with actress and dancer Rakhi Sawant entering the fray to vehemently defend Khan.
In a recent appearance on the Hindi Rush podcast on YouTube, Sawant dismissed Kashyap’s multiple accusations against the actor, labeling the director a liar and threatening him with violence if they ever crossed paths.
A “God on this Earth”
Rakhi Sawant began her defense by praising Salman Khan, crediting him with supporting her career and personal life during difficult times.
“He is like a god on this earth ($\text{Bhai, dharti pe devta hai wo}$),” she stated. “He has done a lot for me, given me work. I was going through a tough time when he gave me work, took me in Bigg Boss, and even helped me financially for my mother’s cancer treatment.”
A Vow to Use Eggs and a Slipper
Sawant then turned her attention to Abhinav Kashyap, delivering a strong verbal attack and criticizing his appearance.
“There is one who is bad mouthing Salman these days. He is an unpleasant creature ($\text{Ek kaan kajura hai}$),” she said. “That bald man ($\text{woh takla}$) is saying a lot against Salman these days. Wherever I find you, bald man, I’ll thrash you with a slipper ($\text{tujhe chappal se maaroongi}$).”
Fuming, Rakhi vowed that if she ever came across the filmmaker, she would pelt him with ten eggs ($\text{jahan milega, 10 ande marungi}$).
Accusations of Misconduct and Sabotage
Rakhi Sawant further accused Kashyap of misconduct on film sets and wasting the superstar’s resources.
- She claimed that the director “started womanising ($\text{ladkibazi shuru kar di thi usne}$)” on set.
- She suggested he was ousted from the project for reportedly wasting Salman’s money.
- She hinted that “Salman’s enemies” ($\text{Salman ke dushman}$) might have paid Kashyap to speak against the actor.
- She also accused Kashyap of body-shaming Salman and making “disgusting things” ($\text{ganda-ganda bol raha hai}$) and “lies” about his family in the media.
Rakhi concluded with a direct message to the superstar, advising him, “Brother, don’t take such people seriously ($\text{Bhai serious mat lo aise logun ko}$).”
The Salman-Abhinav Feud
The animosity between Salman Khan and Abhinav Kashyap stems from the director’s repeated claims that the actor and his family manipulated his career.
Kashyap had recently appeared on a podcast where he reiterated old claims, including that Salman had made things so difficult for his brother, acclaimed director Anurag Kashyap, on the set of Tere Naam that Anurag had to abandon the project.
In a recent retort, Kashyap mocked Salman’s attempt to show admiration for Anurag’s work, saying, “It is written in Salman’s destiny that now he will lick our feet… The same Anurag Kashyap whom he harassed during Tere Naam.”
Salman Khan addressed the issue on a Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 19, expressing disappointment over Kashyap’s personal attacks.
“The one thing that hurts me the most is that you are destroying yourself,” Salman said, suggesting that Kashyap should focus on his own life. “If you want to get after someone, please go after your family or your brother (Anurag Kashyap). Or, love your brother, your parents, your wife. That’s the least you can do.”
It should be noted that Abhinav Kashyap has stated he is not on talking terms with his brother, Anurag Kashyap.
