Actor Rakhi Sawant aggressively dismissed comparisons to Bollywood actor Urvashi Rautela during a promotional event for her new song, Zaroorat, all while flaunting what she claimed was ₹70 crore worth of jewellery.
While interacting with the media, Sawant, dressed in a lehenga choli, pointed to a golden headpiece she valued at ₹50 crore and a silver necklace she claimed was worth ₹20 crore. She then took a direct jab at Urvashi Rautela, stating, “Main jhooth nahi bolti Urvashi Rautela ki tarah” (I don’t lie like Urvashi Rautela).
When a paparazzo asked if she saw Urvashi Rautela as competition, an irritated Sawant questioned the reporter’s intelligence: “Aapka kya dimaag ghutne mein hai kya? (Is your brain in your knees?)”
She insisted on being compared only to global stars, adding, “Compare me with Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, Paris Hilton, or Kim Kardashian. You people always find one overused name. Please, I know her song was Abidi Dabidi, but it turned into Dabidi Dabidi.”
The controversy centers on both actors’ history of showcasing luxury items. Urvashi Rautela has previously faced trolling for flaunting diamond watches and famously cutting a 24-carat gold cake on her birthday in 2024.
Rakhi Sawant’s new romantic song, Zaroorat, which features her romancing actor Shabaz Khan, has recently been released. Meanwhile, Urvashi Rautela is currently busy with her upcoming horror-drama film, Kasoor 2.
