Bollywood actor Rajpal Yadav was granted interim bail by the Delhi High Court in the ₹9 crore cheque bounce case, valid until March 18, 2026. He had surrendered on February 5, 2026, and has since reflected on his time in jail and the challenges he faced.
Jail Experience and Coping
Yadav described the most difficult part of his incarceration as being away from his family. To cope, he said, “I would wake up early and focus on breathing exercises and maintaining mental balance.” He accepted the daily routine as part of the process and emphasised the importance of mental and emotional resilience during that period.
After his release, he immediately attended his niece’s wedding in Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, highlighting how much it meant to be with family after a challenging time.
Gratitude to Industry and Supporters
The actor expressed his gratitude toward colleagues and well-wishers who supported him financially to settle the cheque bounce amount, without naming anyone specifically. He stated that the faith of people, audiences, and colleagues meant a lot to him, noting that respect, time, and being heard matter more than anything else.
Returning to Work
Rajpal Yadav reassured fans that despite temporary disruptions in his shooting schedule, he remains committed to acting. “Work schedules may fluctuate temporarily, but I will resume work gradually and responsibly. Acting has been my life for many years, and I remain committed to it,” he said, underlining his dedication to the profession while continuing to respect the legal process.
