Meanwhile, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat praised the preparedness and safety measures under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Speaking to the media, Shekhawat remarked, “The Maha Kumbh is being organized with all preparedness and safety. It should be a case study on government arrangements for one of the largest human gatherings. Comparing it with the 2013 Kumbh, where a stampede occurred and the handling was insensitive, this administration’s approach reflects a significant transformation.”
Ayodhya Arrangements and Devotee Influx
Ayodhya Commissioner Gaurav Dayal announced special arrangements to accommodate the influx of devotees at the Shri Ram Lalla Temple following the Maha Kumbh celebrations.
The commissioner noted that large crowds are expected, particularly after the Amrit Snan on Mauni Amavasya (January 29).
To ensure smooth arrangements, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh and Uttar Pradesh DGP Prashant Kumar conducted a site visit to the Maha Kumbh area on Thursday. They also chaired a high-level review meeting at the ICC auditorium, discussing strategies to manage the event effectively.
