Defence Minister Rajnath Singh To Meet US Intelligence Chief Tulsi Gabbard In Delhi

New Delhi [India]: Defence Minister Rajnath Singh is scheduled to meet US Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard in New Delhi today to discuss issues of mutual interest, according to Defence Ministry officials.

The high-profile meeting will take place at the South Block, with discussions expected to cover various strategic and defence-related topics vital to India-US ties.

Strategic Discussions in Delhi

Gabbard’s visit to India is part of her multi-nation tour. On Sunday evening, she held a detailed discussion with National Security Advisor Ajit Doval in New Delhi, focusing on strengthening bilateral ties and enhancing cooperation on global security matters.

Gabbard will also participate in the upcoming Raisina Dialogue, where she will engage in a keynote conversation with Samir Saran, President of the Observer Research Foundation (ORF).

Raisina Dialogue 2025

The 10th edition of the Raisina Dialogue, co-hosted by the Ministry of External Affairs in partnership with ORF, is set to take place in New Delhi from March 17-19. The conference will feature over 800 speakers and 3,700 attendees from 130 countries worldwide.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the event, with New Zealand Prime Minister Christopher Luxon delivering the keynote address as the chief guest.

Strengthening India-US Ties

Gabbard’s visit follows Prime Minister Modi’s trip to the United States in February, where he described Gabbard as a “strong votary” of India-US relations. Gabbard, in turn, called it an “honour” to host PM Modi during his visit.

With ongoing efforts to deepen ties in defence, intelligence, and economic cooperation, Gabbard’s visit is seen as a significant step toward enhancing the strategic partnership between Washington and New Delhi.
