Rajnath Singh Slams Congress & AAP, PM Modi Assures No Slum Demolitions In Delhi

With the Delhi Assembly elections on February 5 drawing closer, political tensions are escalating. On Sunday, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh took a sharp swipe at Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), blaming them for Delhi’s lack of development over the past 25 years.

Rajnath Singh: BJP Never Got a Chance to Transform Delhi

Addressing a public gathering in Rajendra Nagar, Singh made an emotional appeal to voters, arguing that BJP has been denied the opportunity to serve Delhi.

“Delhi is one of the hearts of India, but for 25 years, either Congress or AAP has ruled here. Even though we are in the 21st century, Delhi hasn’t seen much development because of these two parties,” Singh said.

He asserted that BJP’s politics has never been about deceiving people and challenged the media to fact-check his statements.

“Our politics has never been about fooling the people. We have always looked them in the eye and spoken the truth,” he added.

PM Modi: No Slums Will Be Demolished, Welfare Schemes to Continue

Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a rally in RK Puram, refuting AAP’s claims that BJP would demolish slums and halt welfare schemes.

💬 PM Modi’s Key Announcements:
₹5 Nutritious Meals for slum dwellers in Delhi
Welfare Board for auto drivers and domestic workers
₹10 Lakh Insurance Coverage for registered workers
Financial Assistance for Children’s School Fees

🔹 “AAP is spreading falsehoods, but I give my guarantee: not a single slum in Delhi will be demolished. The BJP government will ensure the welfare of all Delhiites,” PM Modi assured.

Arvind Kejriwal’s Counterattack: BJP Misleading Jhuggi Residents

AAP National Convener and Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal hit back at BJP, accusing them of attempting to “buy votes” from slum dwellers.

🚨 Kejriwal’s Claims:
🔸 BJP workers are offering ₹3,000 to slum residents in exchange for their votes
🔸 Home voting scheme is being misused to manipulate elections
🔸 Voting for BJP could lead to criminal cases against jhuggi residents

“I am your big brother, and I couldn’t sleep last night after hearing this. Don’t fall for their trap. If they offer you money, take it, but don’t vote for them,” Kejriwal told voters.

The Big Battle: BJP vs AAP vs Congress

With the February 5 elections fast approaching, the political showdown in Delhi is intensifying.

📌 BJP: Banking on Modi’s leadership and the ‘double-engine’ government
📌 AAP: Fighting to retain power, highlighting its welfare policies
📌 Congress: Struggling to regain its lost voter base

The vote count on February 8 will determine whether Delhi continues with AAP or shifts to BJP’s governance. 🚨
