Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], July 4: Bollywood actors Rajkummar Rao and Manushi Chhillar attended the song launch of their upcoming film Maalik in Lucknow, where they opened up about their roles and experiences working on the project.
The makers unveiled the track “Raaj Karega Maalik”, performed by MTV Hustle winner MC Square. In Maalik, Rao portrays a ruthless gangster determined to achieve political power and fame. The film’s intense narrative is set against the gritty backdrop of 1980s Allahabad.
Sharing her thoughts at the event, Manushi Chhillar said, “I always wanted to work on a project where I could learn a lot and try something new. We have so many senior actors on our team. The character is very beautiful. I felt a lot of pressure but had a lot of fun shooting.”
Rajkummar Rao highlighted the film’s compelling story, adding, “This film has an interesting story. There are many avenues and opportunities for actors to work hard. Just focus on your art form and nothing else.”
The song, shared on Tips’ official Instagram, captures Rao’s gangster vibe with high-octane beats and rage-filled rap by MC Square, complemented by Akasa’s vocals and Sachin-Jigar’s composition. The video features Rao and Manushi dancing to the powerful track, with visuals that match the movie’s raw and intense tone.
Maalik promises a gripping tale of ambition, power, and survival, exploring the price of rising in a world dominated by violence and greed. Alongside Rao and Chhillar, the film also stars Saurabh Shukla and Saurabh Sachdeva in pivotal roles.
