Rajasthan Unveils Logistics Policy 2025 To Boost Industrial Growth And Investments

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India]: In a bid to transform Rajasthan into a $350 billion economy by 2030 and create an investment-friendly industrial environment, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has launched the Rajasthan Logistics Policy 2025, an official statement confirmed.

According to the release, this policy aims to enhance industrial development, reduce logistics costs, and position Rajasthan as a logistics hub by leveraging its strategic geographical location.

Rajasthan’s Strategic Advantage in Logistics

Being India’s largest state, Rajasthan serves as a crucial link between the northern and western regions of the country. The state’s industries benefit from lower logistics and operational costs, catering to both domestic demand and exports.

Rajasthan shares borders with Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, and Gujarat, providing access to 40% of India’s market. The state boasts:

  • India’s 3rd largest national highway network
  • 2nd largest railway network
  • 9 inland container depots
  • 7 airports
  • An air cargo complex

With these extensive transport links, Rajasthan has a strong foundation in logistics and trade, the release highlighted.

Key Incentives Under Rajasthan Logistics Policy 2025

To attract investors and establish Rajasthan as a preferred logistics destination, the policy offers special incentives and grants, including:
Capital subsidy: Up to 25% of Eligible Fixed Capital Investment (EFCI) (₹5-50 crore) for warehouses, silos, cold storage units, inland container depots, container freight stations, air freight stations, cargo terminals, and trucker parks for 10 years.

Interest subsidy: Developers of private multi-modal and integrated logistics parks will receive a 7% interest subsidy for 7 years, capped at ₹50 lakh annually.

Tax and fee concessions:

  • 75% discount and 25% reimbursement on stamp duty
  • 100% exemption on electricity duty for 7 years
  • 75% discount and 25% reimbursement on land conversion charges
  • 100% waiver on mandi fees for 7 years

Employment and Technological Upgradation Provisions

The policy also focuses on employment generation and skill development, ensuring better job opportunities for youth:

  • 50% reimbursement of personnel training costs (up to ₹4000 per worker per month for 6 months).
  • Technical upgrades:
    • 50% reimbursement (up to ₹2000 per truck) for truck tracking equipment.
    • 50% reimbursement (up to ₹2 lakh) for logistics management software.
    • 20% reimbursement (up to ₹10 lakh) for fire detection system installation.

Infrastructure and Green Initiatives

  • 10% of allotable land in upcoming RIICO industrial areas will be reserved exclusively for logistics facilities.
  • Green incentives up to ₹12.5 crore for industries adopting eco-friendly measures, including:
    • 50% reimbursement on Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP), Common Effluent Treatment Plants (CETP), waste recycling, and common spray dryers.

Rajasthan’s Proactive Industrial Reforms

The state government has introduced 13 key policies in the past 15 months to accelerate economic and industrial development. Some major initiatives include:

  • Rajasthan Investment Promotion Scheme 2024
  • Rajasthan MSME Policy 2024
  • Rajasthan Export Promotion Policy
  • Rajasthan One District One Product Policy 2024
  • Rajasthan Tourism Unit Policy 2024
  • Rajasthan Data Center Policy 2025
  • Rajasthan Logistics Policy 2025

These policies have received strong interest from investors, including domestic and foreign entrepreneurs, across various sectors.

The Rajasthan government is committed to enhancing transparency, governance, and policy reforms to make the state the top investment destination in India, the statement added.
