Rajasthan Govt Advances Industrial Development With New Nodes And Logistics Hubs

Jaipur (Rajasthan) [India]: The Rajasthan govt is accelerating its industrial development plans by setting up new industrial nodes, logistics hubs, and a multi-modal logistics park to enhance the ease of doing business and attract more investors to the state.

Following the successful ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024, which concluded less than a month ago, the government is actively working to deliver on its promises to boost industrial growth.

On December 30, 2024, a high-level team of state officials, led by Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary (Industries), and Shri Inderjeet Singh, Managing Director (RIICO), conducted site visits to assess land parcels for these infrastructure projects. The team explored locations in Manda, Phulera (near the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor), and Bichoon industrial areas to evaluate their suitability for development.

One key focus of the visit was a 67-hectare land parcel in Baghawas village, identified as a potential site for future projects. The Rajasthan government is planning to allocate approximately 200-250 hectares of land for logistics parks and industrial areas to meet the demands of modern industries and logistics operations.

Discussions during the visit also included the expansion of the Manda Industrial Area under the proposed Land Aggregation Policy and the expedited development of the Bichoon Industrial Area.

Ajitabh Sharma highlighted the importance of these initiatives for the state’s economic growth, stating:
“Creation of new logistics parks and industrial areas will increase ease of operations and bring the cost of business down. Dausa-Bandikui region, near the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, and the Manda Extension, in proximity to the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor, are industrial hotbeds with immense potential.”

He added, “In Bandikui and Manda regions, RIICO will develop investment and logistics regions on government and aggregated private land areas. Under the directions of Hon’ble CM, we are working round the clock to enhance ease of doing business and convert the signed investment proposals during the summit into running projects.”

The Dausa-Bandikui region was also recently visited by the team to identify suitable land for a new investment zone. These efforts align with the commitments made during the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024, which saw investment proposals worth Rs 35 lakh crore.

Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma had emphasized during the summit that the government would prioritize turning these proposals into operational projects, with regular progress updates over the next 12 months.
