Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister Prem Chand Bairwa extended his New Year wishes for 2025 and reaffirmed his commitment to making Rajasthan a developed state.
Speaking to media, Bairwa expressed hope for prosperity in the new year and highlighted the government’s focus on enhancing facilities for roadways passengers.
“Best wishes for the New Year. May the New Year be auspicious and prosperous for all… Together we will make Rajasthan a developed Rajasthan… We are determined to ensure that passengers get good facilities on roadways,” he said.
In parallel, the Rajasthan government announced plans to strengthen the state’s industrial infrastructure. Initiatives include new industrial nodes, logistics hubs, and a multi-modal logistics park to improve ease of doing business and attract investors.
Industrial Expansion Efforts
Following the ‘Rising Rajasthan’ Global Investment Summit 2024, where investment proposals worth ₹35 lakh crore were signed, the government is accelerating efforts to transform these commitments into operational projects.
On December 30, senior officials, led by Ajitabh Sharma, Principal Secretary (Industries), and Inderjeet Singh, Managing Director (RIICO), conducted site visits to potential land parcels near Jaipur. Locations at Manda, Phulera (near the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor), and Bichoon were assessed for logistics parks and industrial developments.
The government plans to allocate approximately 200-250 hectares of land for these projects, ensuring they meet the growing demands of modern industries and logistics operations.
Ajitabh Sharma stressed the importance of these developments:
“Creation of new logistics parks and industrial areas will increase ease of operations and bring the cost of business down. The Dausa-Bandikui region in the vicinity of the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway and the Manda Extension in the proximity of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor are two industrial hotbeds in the state with immense potential.”
Future Outlook
The Rajasthan government is committed to accelerating development in regions like the Dausa-Bandikui industrial zone and Manda Industrial Area Extension. These efforts align with the state’s Land Aggregation Policy and promises made during the investment summit.
Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has emphasized the government’s priority of converting signed investment proposals into operational projects, with updates on progress expected over the next 12 months.
