Addressing the public, he shared that the state’s latest budget focuses on infrastructure, agriculture, drinking water, education, and health services, all with a special emphasis on rural areas.
Expressing gratitude to the people of Jaipur Rural (South) for their appreciation of the government’s efforts, CM Sharma announced that 55% of the promises made in the Sankalp Patra had been fulfilled within just one year. “We had included the promises made to the public in the Sankalp Patra, and 55% of those promises have been fulfilled in 1 year. Our government is constantly working in the interests of farmers, women, the poor, and the youth,” he stated.
The Chief Minister also revealed that the second installment of the Chief Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi would be disbursed, alongside plans to provide interest-free loans to cowherds, 50,000 new agricultural electricity connections, and 5 lakh new domestic connections. “This year’s budget has been designed with farmers at the forefront. Farmers are pleased with provisions such as the increase of Kisan Samman Nidhi to Rs 9,000, interest-free loans to cowherds under the Gopal Credit Card Scheme, and new agricultural and domestic electricity connections,” said Sharma.
Further emphasizing the state’s development trajectory, CM Sharma spoke about the “double engine government” and its commitment to the prosperity of Rajasthan. He also outlined plans to recruit 1.25 lakh people for government positions and provide employment to 1.5 lakh youth in the private sector. Addressing concerns over previous paper leak incidents, he assured that no such incidents have occurred under his leadership, highlighting his government’s strict actions to ensure transparency and prevent corruption.
“We are committed to a crime-free Rajasthan, and we have successfully reduced gang wars and other criminal activities in the state,” CM Sharma added.
On the infrastructure front, the Chief Minister also discussed initiatives to strengthen the state’s water and power systems. He detailed ongoing projects such as the Indira Gandhi Canal Project, Mahi Project, and the Ram Jalsetu Link Project for Eastern Rajasthan. He further promised to provide electricity to farmers during the day by 2027, strengthening the state’s power infrastructure.
“In water conservation and supply, we are working on strengthening critical projects like the Indira Gandhi Canal and the Mahi Project. Additionally, we are ensuring better water access through the Yamuna Water Agreement for the Shekhawati region and the Dewas Project for Southern Rajasthan,” CM Sharma explained.
The Chief Minister also expressed his appreciation for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, especially in extending the Jal Jeevan Mission until 2028, which will provide tap water to every household in the state.
Earlier, CM Sharma was welcomed by the public, with a 100-meter-long turban and a memento as a mark of respect. The event saw participation from local public representatives and a large number of residents from Jaipur Rural (South).
