New Delhi: Following a successful run in Mumbai, Rajadhiraaj: Love.Life.Leela made its much-anticipated debut in the national capital, captivating audiences with its mesmerizing portrayal of Lord Krishna’s journey. The grand musical, which features over 100 performers, was a hit at New Delhi’s Jawaharlal Nehru Indoor Auditorium, where Bollywood stars and prominent figures gathered to experience the show.
Shahid Kapoor, one of the key attendees, shared his thoughts on the experience, saying, “It’s a great opportunity to watch it in Delhi. Everything about Him motivates us as those are the idols we grew up with. All the qualities are special. He is also a little naughty, that’s a good quality. You should always keep the child within you.”
The show, with a script penned by the renowned Prasoon Joshi and directed by Shruti Sharma, showcases stunning visuals, live singing by the actors, and a soulful soundtrack composed by Sachin-Jigar. Costumes for the production were designed by the legendary Neeta Lulla, bringing the essence of Krishna’s journey to life. The musical takes the audience on an emotional ride from Vraj to Mewar, Mathura to Dwarka, as it narrates the life and adventures of Lord Krishna.
Bhumi Pednekar, another guest at the event, expressed her excitement, saying, “It’s an incredible experience, and I’ve been waiting for so long to see it. I’m happy to witness it in Delhi.” The musical also saw the presence of Ravi Kishan and Prasoon Joshi, adding to the star power in the audience.
The opening night in Delhi saw the auditorium packed with an enthusiastic crowd, including bureaucrats and other influential figures, all drawn to witness the magic of this theatrical masterpiece. Executive Producer Bhoomi Nathwani presented the musical, and it was conceptualized by Dhanraj Nathwani, who brought the vision of Krishna’s timeless leelas to life.
With its grand scale, Rajadhiraaj promises to continue enchanting Delhi’s audiences until December 8. The show’s vivid scenes, brought to life by award-winning director and production designer Omung Kumar, transport the audience into the vibrant world of ancient India, immersing them in the colorful and musical adventures of Krishna. After a stellar run at Mumbai’s Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre’s Grand Theatre, the Delhi performances are poised to leave an indelible mark on audiences.
