Hyderabad (Telangana) [India]: Union Minister G Kishan Reddy on Friday sharply criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for his remarks regarding Operation Sindoor, claiming that Gandhi and the Congress party were “speaking in the same tone as Pakistan.”
Speaking to the media, Reddy said, “Rahul Gandhi and Congress are speaking in the same tone as Pakistan. The Indian Armed Forces made Operation Sindoor victorious. Terrorist sites and headquarters in Pakistan were destroyed. The whole nation is united and supporting the armed forces, whereas the Congress party is asking for proof.”
Earlier the same day, Union Home Minister Amit Shah lauded the military offensive, hailing it as a perfect example of coordination between Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s political will, precise intelligence inputs, and the armed forces’ execution.
Addressing the Border Security Force Investiture Ceremony in New Delhi, Shah said, “Operation Sindoor is the result of the Prime Minister’s strong political will, accurate intelligence, and the army’s lethal capabilities. All three components came together in perfect synergy.”
He also traced the government’s shift in strategy since 2014, stating, “Our country has faced Pakistan-sponsored terrorism for decades. Earlier, there was no firm response. But after Modi ji became Prime Minister, that changed. Following the heinous attack on our soldiers in Uri, we conducted surgical strikes to send a strong message.”
Shah further emphasized that Pakistan, by reacting aggressively to the strikes on terrorist camps, “proved it sponsors terrorism.” He added, “When the Pakistani army targeted our civilian and military establishments, the Indian army retaliated with force by hitting their airbases.”
The remarks come amid an ongoing political row over national security issues and the opposition’s demand for transparency on military operations.
