Rahul Dravid Steps Down As Rajasthan Royals Head Coach

Today, the Rajasthan Royals said that they had let go of their head coach, Rahul Dravid. The squad came in ninth place in the 2025 IPL season, winning only four of their 14 games under his leadership.

Dravid, who used to be the captain and player for the Royals, became the head coach last year after his brilliant time with the Indian national team came to an end. But his comeback to the franchise didn’t last long and didn’t have the anticipated effects.

Dravid is the second well-known head coach to leave an IPL team before the big auction in 2026. Last month, the Kolkata Knight Riders let go of Chandrakant Pandit, even though he had led them to the IPL victory in 2024. Pandit is the second Indian to win an IPL as head coach. He did this by leading KKR to victory.

From 2011 to 2013, Dravid played for the Rajasthan Royals. He was the team’s captain in 2012 and 2013. He was also a mentor for the team. He is no longer officially connected to the Royals now that he has left. They are now trying to rebuild for the next season.
