Punjabi Singer and Actor Rajvir Jawanda Dies Following Road Accident

Popular Punjabi singer and actor Rajvir Jawanda has passed away at the age of 35 after a tragic road accident. The artist died while undergoing treatment at Fortis Hospital, Mohali, having been on life support for nearly 12 days since the incident on September 27.

Jawanda sustained severe head and spinal injuries when his motorcycle collided with stray cattle near Baddi, Himachal Pradesh. Doctors reported that his neurological condition remained critical, with minimal brain activity and no significant improvement despite intensive medical care.


A Career Cut Short

A resident of Sector 71, Mohali, Jawanda was a highly beloved figure in the Punjabi entertainment industry. He rose to fame after beginning his musical journey in 2014, quickly becoming known for his soulful voice and songs celebrating Punjabi pride and culture.

He was widely known for hit tracks including ‘Surname’, ‘Kamla’, ‘Mera Dil’, and ‘Sardari’. Jawanda also made his mark in Punjabi cinema, with notable roles in films such as Jind Jaan, Mindo Taseeldarni, and Kaka Ji.

The news of his untimely death has sent shockwaves through the industry and his dedicated fan base. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann had reportedly visited the hospital on Sunday to inquire about the singer’s health.
