Chandigarh (Punjab) [India]: Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Singh Cheema accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) of introducing drugs to the state, alleging that both parties played a role in worsening the drug crisis in Punjab. Speaking to the media, Cheema highlighted the efforts made by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government to combat the drug menace.
Cheema stated:
“When BJP and Akali Dal came to Punjab, that is when drugs were introduced to the state for the first time. Now, AAP has been making attempts to finish it.”
