PSG Thrash Real Madrid 4-0 To Reach Club World Cup Final Against Chelsea

Paris Saint-Germain secured a place in the FIFA Club World Cup final after a dominant 4-0 semifinal victory over Real Madrid in New Jersey. The UEFA Champions League winners will now face Chelsea in Sunday’s final.

According to Goal.com, PSG were 3-0 up within the first 24 minutes, overwhelming Madrid with a high-intensity attack. The opening goal came in the sixth minute when Ousmane Dembele dispossessed Raul Asencio in Madrid’s box. Dembele and Fabian Ruiz combined for the close-range finish, beating Thibaut Courtois after two previous attempts.

Dembele struck again just three minutes later, intercepting a poor touch from Antonio Rudiger and coolly slotting the ball into the bottom corner.

PSG’s third came from Ruiz again, finishing off a swift team move after being set up by Achraf Hakimi. The Spanish midfielder completed his brace and left Madrid shell-shocked before the half-hour mark.

Though Khvicha Kvaratskhelia had opportunities to extend the lead before halftime, he narrowly missed what could have been PSG’s fourth.

In the second half, Luis Enrique’s side managed the game comfortably and added a fourth goal through substitute Ramos, assisted by Bradley Barcola, sealing a comprehensive win.

Earlier in the tournament, PSG defeated Bayern Munich 2-0 in the quarterfinals with late goals from Desire Doue (78’) and Dembele (90+6’). The win came despite PSG finishing with nine men, after Willian Pacho and Lucas Hernandez were both sent off in the closing minutes.

PSG will now meet Premier League side Chelsea in what promises to be an electric Club World Cup final showdown.
