Mumbai (Maharashtra), July 1: The filming of Tere Ishk Mein, the much-anticipated romantic drama directed by Aanand L Rai and starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, has officially concluded. The movie is scheduled for a theatrical release on November 28, 2025.
Described as a spiritual successor to Rai’s 2013 hit Raanjhanaa, the film has generated significant buzz, especially with Dhanush returning in a lead role. The production house announced the wrap via Instagram, sharing a symbolic image of two bloodied hands clasped tightly, accompanied by the caption: “And that’s a wrap on Tere Ishk Mein.”
At the IIFA Awards 2025, Kriti Sanon shared her excitement about the project, calling it “beautiful” and “genre-defying.” She said, “It’s a beautiful film—something I haven’t done before. Love stories are my favourite genre, and Anand Sir handles them in such a unique way. Working with Dhanush for the first time is also very exciting.”
Director Aanand L Rai first teased the project on the 10th anniversary of Raanjhanaa, noting the special place it holds in his career. “There couldn’t be a more perfect day to unveil Tere Ishk Mein. Raanjhanaa continues to receive so much love from audiences even today,” he said.
The teaser, released with the announcement, gave a glimpse of a darker, more intense story. In it, Dhanush delivers a dramatic monologue:
“Pichli baar toh Kundan tha, maan gaya. Par iss baar Shankar ko kaise rokoge?”
This suggests a more volatile character arc compared to his earlier portrayal of Kundan.
The film is written by Himanshu Sharma, a frequent collaborator of Rai, and features music by the legendary AR Rahman with lyrics by Irshad Kamil.
Tere Ishk Mein is produced under the banners of Gulshan Kumar, T-Series, and Colour Yellow Productions, with producers including Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma, Bhushan Kumar, and Krishan Kumar.
