Hyderabad: Global icon Priyanka Chopra Jonas delighted fans on Wednesday by hosting a Q&A session on X (formerly Twitter) just hours before the release of her first look as Mandakini from SS Rajamouli’s upcoming pan-India film, tentatively titled GlobeTrotter (also known as SSMB 29).
The much-awaited poster was unveiled later in the evening, giving fans a glimpse of Priyanka’s grand comeback to Indian cinema alongside Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran.

Priyanka Chopra on Her Return to Indian Cinema
Fans flooded the session with excitement over Priyanka’s return to Indian films after years of international projects. One fan wrote that they “miss seeing her in Indian cinema,” to which she warmly replied:
“By God’s grace. I’m hoping to be able to do the best work I can around the world. With all your support it feels like anything is possible.”
When another user asked if GlobeTrotter marks a “whole new PCJ era,” Priyanka responded,
“Hopefully a new era and my return to Indian films. I’m not sure. But I know it will be incredible.”
Her candid responses have left fans emotional and hopeful about her renewed focus on Indian projects.
On Learning Telugu and Working with SS Rajamouli
The Citadel star also shared her experience of learning Telugu for the film and adjusting to the Tollywood industry.
When a fan asked how she found the Telugu industry and Hyderabad’s famous biryani, she replied playfully:
“It’s still early days for me on the movie but it’s been Adiri poyindi (very good)!!!! Also, the biryani is the best in the world in Hyderabad.”
Asked whether it was difficult to work in Tollywood or with SS Rajamouli, Priyanka said,
“Neither was hard. But both are life changing.”
She revealed that she’s been working hard on delivering her Telugu dialogues with authenticity:
“It’s obviously not my first language but @ssrajamouli sir has been so helpful. I will be able to deliver my Telugu lines and live up to your expectations.”

An exclusive event has been scheduled at Ramoji Film City in Hyderabad on November 15, where the official title of GlobeTrotter (SSMB 29) and Mahesh Babu’s first look will be unveiled. The grand function will be live-streamed on JioHotstar for global audiences.
Directed by SS Rajamouli, the film marks his collaboration with Mahesh Babu for the first time, promising an international-scale adventure drama. With Priyanka Chopra, Mahesh Babu, and Prithviraj Sukumaran leading the cast, GlobeTrotter is among the most anticipated Indian films of 2025.
