Mumbai, India: After her movie Heads of State reached a huge milestone around the world, actress Priyanka Chopra has resorted to social media to thank fans. More than 75 million people across the world have seen the action-comedy since it came out on July 2. It stars John Cena and Idris Elba and is the fourth most-watched Amazon MGM Studios movie of all time on Prime Video.
Heads of State, directed by Ilya Naishuller, rapidly became a hit around the world. The movie also topped Nielsen’s movie chart in its first week, with 1.098 billion minutes streamed. It stayed at the top of the service for four weeks in a row.
Chopra, who portrays a keen MI6 agent named Noel Bisset, told her fans on Instagram Stories how excited she was. She just added, “🙏 to everyone that watched ❤️” as she shared the news again. The movie’s success puts it in a small group of the best movies on the streaming service. It comes in third place, behind the Dwayne Johnson and Chris Evans Christmas action movie Red One and the Ben Affleck and Jon Bernthal movie The Accountant 2. The Tomorrow War, a sci-fi action movie from 2021, is the third most-watched movie on the site.
Cena plays the U.S. President and Elba plays the U.K. Prime Minister in Heads of State.
Paddy Considine, Stephen Root, Carla Gugino, Jack Quaid, and Sarah Niles are featured in the cast. The movie is available in many languages on Prime Video, such as Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. This has helped it become popular all around the world.
