President Murmu Approves Gallantry Awards for 93 Personnel on Republic Day

Recognizing bravery and devotion, awards include 11 posthumous honors; significant recognition for various military operations.

New Delhi, January 26: In a moving tribute to courage and dedication, President Droupadi Murmu approved Gallantry Awards for 93 Armed Forces and Central Armed Police Forces personnel, including 11 posthumous recognitions, on the eve of India’s 76th Republic Day. Additionally, 58 Mentioned-in-Despatches, including four posthumous awards, were conferred for contributions to various military operations, the Ministry of Defence announced.


Gallantry Awards Overview

The honors conferred include:

  • Kirti Chakras: 2 (1 posthumous)
  • Shaurya Chakras: 14 (3 posthumous)
  • Sena Medals (Gallantry): 66 (7 posthumous)
  • Nao Sena Medals (Gallantry): 2
