President Droupadi Murmu Urges Women To Dream Big And Achieve Their Goals

Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], February 14: President of India, Droupadi Murmu, has called on women to gather courage, dream big, and harness their full strength and potential to achieve their aspirations. She made this appeal during her address at the inauguration of the 10th International Women’s Conference, organized by The Art of Living International Center in Bengaluru, where she was the chief guest.

Upon her arrival at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) Airport, President Murmu was warmly welcomed by the Governor of Karnataka, Thaawarchand Gehlot, and other dignitaries including Revenue Minister Krishna Byre Gowda, Chief Secretary Dr. Shalini Rajneesh, and senior officials from various sectors.

During her speech, President Murmu emphasized the importance of mental strength in breaking barriers and challenging stereotypes. She urged every woman to have the courage to dream big, saying, “Every little step that each of you takes towards your goal is a step towards a developed India and developed world.”

President Murmu also highlighted the role of technology in improving the quality of life but stressed that human values must remain at the core. She noted, “In such a competitive world, we must ensure that our human values remain intact. Every human being needs to put in extra effort consciously to promote human values of compassion, love, and unity.” She underscored that women, with their unique ability to lead with compassion, play a critical role in fostering these values within families, communities, and globally.

The President expressed her confidence that the women attending the conference would emerge with spiritual principles that would positively impact their lives and those around them, creating a more beautiful and peaceful world.

She also touched on the growing importance of mental health in today’s society, particularly for women who juggle professional, societal, and personal challenges. “Mental wellness is fundamental to the ability of any woman to lead a meaningful life and contribute to the family, society, and the world,” she said, emphasizing the need for open conversations about emotional well-being.

President Murmu concluded by acknowledging the interconnectedness of individuals in the world, and how conferences like these help spread the message that no one is an isolated entity.
