London [UK], July 14: Bollywood stars Preity Zinta, Farhan Akhtar, and Sonam Kapoor added star power to the Wimbledon 2025 final in London on Sunday, as they watched tennis history unfold with Jannik Sinner winning his maiden Wimbledon title.
Preity Zinta shared a series of pictures and videos on Instagram featuring her husband Gene Goodenough. Dressed in a polka-dotted outfit, Preity enjoyed the sunny day courtside, while Gene sported a cool blue ensemble. In one clip, the actress was seen fanning herself as she enjoyed the action.
“What a fun weekend this has been with my hubby… watching an unbelievable game of tennis! Congratulations @janniksin for winning your first Wimbledon title & hard luck @carlitosalcarazz,” she wrote.
Actor Farhan Akhtar also posted glimpses of his Wimbledon experience alongside his father, veteran lyricist Javed Akhtar, and wife Shibani Dandekar.
“Such a special experience every time we attend. Honest admission – was rooting for Alcaraz… but today belonged to Sinner,” Farhan captioned his post.
Meanwhile, fashion icon Sonam Kapoor also attended the finale, adding elegance to the star-studded guest list.
On the court, World No. 1 Jannik Sinner delivered a thrilling performance, defeating Carlos Alcaraz 4-6, 6-4, 6-4, 6-4. With this, he claimed his first Wimbledon title and fourth Grand Slam overall, putting an end to Alcaraz’s 24-match win streak and becoming the first Italian male to win Wimbledon.
