As preparations for Mahakumbh 2025 gain momentum, Prayagraj Police demonstrated anti-drone technology on Thursday to ensure security during the massive religious gathering. Additionally, a state-of-the-art tent city is being developed to provide comfortable accommodations for millions of pilgrims.

- The demonstration showcased advanced tools to detect and neutralize unauthorized drones.
- SSP Mahakumbh Rajesh Dwivedi said that only drones with prior permission would be allowed. Unauthorized drones will be seized or neutralized during the event.
Luxury Tent City for Pilgrims
- Facilities:
- Around 2,000 tents with 5-star facilities will be available for booking.
- Accommodations are categorized into Villa, Maharaja, Swiss Cottage, and Dormitory, catering to various budgets.
- Pricing:
- Prices range from ₹1,500 to ₹35,000 per day, with additional charges of ₹4,000–₹8,000 for extra guests (excluding dormitories).
- Collaborators:
- The project is spearheaded by the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Limited (UPSTDC) in collaboration with partners like Aagaman, Kumbh Camp India, and others.
- Vision:
- Developed under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision, the initiative aims to offer world-class hospitality to the anticipated 45 crore visitors from 75 countries.
- Booking:
- Tents will be available for booking via the UPSTDC website or the Mahakumbh app starting January 1, 2025.
Key Dates for Mahakumbh 2025

- Begins with Paush Purnima Snan on January 13, 2025.
- Conclusion:
- Ends with the Mahashivratri Snan on February 26, 2025.
