Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], January 3: The much-anticipated film Phule, starring Pratik Gandhi and Patralekhaa, is all set to release on April 11, marking the 197th birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule.
Directed by Ananth Mahadevan, the film brings to life the remarkable journey of Mahatma Jyotirao Phule, portrayed by Pratik Gandhi, and his wife, Savitribai Phule, played by Patralekhaa. The duo was instrumental in championing equality and education in India.
Patralekhaa expressed her pride in portraying Savitribai Phule, saying, “I am deeply honored to bring Savitribai Phule to life in this film. She, along with Jyotirao Phule, laid the foundation for modern education and social equality in India. It feels fitting to announce Phule on her birth anniversary.
