UP Police Injures Two Notorious Criminals In Separate Late-Night Encounters In Lucknow And Amroha

In two separate late-night police encounters in Uttar Pradesh, two notorious criminals were injured, including a rape accused in Lucknow and a cow slaughter case accused in Amroha. Both incidents highlight the UP Police’s aggressive crackdown on criminal elements.

Lucknow Encounter – Rape Accused Injured

In Lucknow, Kamal Kishore alias Bhaddar, a resident of Sidhauli, Sitapur, and accused in a minor girl rape case, was injured in a police encounter around 2:00 AM on May 27. Under the command of ACP Mahanagar Neha Tripathi, the police were conducting checks at Bandha Road Raghuvanshi Dhal.

When the police signaled a motorcyclist to stop, the rider — later identified as Kishore — attempted to flee and opened fire. The police retaliated, injuring him in the leg. A country-made pistol, a live cartridge, and the motorbike were seized. He was rushed to the trauma centre for treatment.

“The police team took swift action to ensure the accused was apprehended before further harm could occur,” officials stated.

Amroha Encounter – Cow Slaughter Accused Nabbed

Earlier the same night, another encounter occurred in Amroha district. Police intercepted two men on a motorcycle in a village under Didauli Police Station. When asked to stop, the duo opened fire, injuring a head constable. In retaliatory action, police injured one suspect, later identified as Kasim, a habitual offender with over 20 criminal cases, including cow slaughter.

“One accused, Kasim, was injured while the other fled. A manhunt has been launched to nab the absconding accomplice,” said SP Amit Kumar.

Kasim was also taken for medical care while police intensified efforts to arrest the second suspect.

These back-to-back encounters underscore the UP Police’s proactive stance under CM Yogi Adityanath’s administration, focused on enhancing public safety by neutralizing high-risk offenders. Both operations reflect the zero-tolerance policy towards crimes involving sexual violence and communal sensitivity like cow slaughter.
